Overview of Duties
Members assure the promotion of public health, safety, morals, convenience, order, and the general welfare of citizens or for the sake of efficiency and economy in the process of community development. Members prepare a master plan and serve in an advisory capacity to the Board of Lake County Commissioners. Members may propose policies for subdivision plats, public ways, places, structures and utilities, issue improvement location permits on platted and unplatted lands, lay out and development of public ways and services within the unincorporated portions of Lake County.
